Facilitators' Workspace
(-- last updated 2016 September 27)
While every member has a private, personal workspace for refinement and self-evaluation, facilitators have an additional workspace for group management.
The facilitator workspace helps members of an ITC group to develop their management skills:
The Facilitators section of the website would have a higher level of security than the rest of the private site, so as to be accessible only to 1) facilitators and 2) select operatives who are working to become facilitators of the ITC group.
While “good management” can be defined in various ways (see here… and here… and here… ), management expert Joanne Jacobs says, simply, “good management is about fostering access to resources. That’s it. Nothing more….”
In that way, a website like this one can be the heart of ITC group management, providing easy links to the group mission, afterlife model, members, chat rooms, and other facets of the group culture, and to lots of outside sources of good information.
Still, there are certain qualities of management that could enhance the resonance of ITC groups, and we'll explore those through the items in the drop-down menu below the Facilitators tab.

While every member has a private, personal workspace for refinement and self-evaluation, facilitators have an additional workspace for group management.
- Everyone’s personal workspace acts as a training guide for new members (provisionals aspiring to become operatives), and as a reference guide for established members.
- The facilitator’s workspace acts as a training guide for operatives aspiring to become facilitators, and as a reference guide for facilitators.
The facilitator workspace helps members of an ITC group to develop their management skills:
- Reflective listening,
- Conflict resolution,
- Fostering communication and involvement among members,
- Ensuring that changes within the group happen smoothly and painlessly,
- Fostering members’ satisfaction with the group, and
- Monitoring group resonance, encouraging members to use their personal workspaces for refinement and self-evaluation as needed.
